Arrival Tbilisi airport. Transfer 165 km, to Gergeti village (the highest part of Kazbegi village), via Jvari-Zedazeni-ancient monastery, Mtskheta-old capital, Ananuri Fortress. During the way it is possible on the highest point - Jvari (Cross) pass 2380m, climb for an acclimatization to Deda-ena peak, ab.3560m with many smaller tops. Bus wait for us. Gergeti guest-house, different room quality, 1750m. Nice view to the mountains and to Kazbek with Sameba monastery on the top of the hills. |

Acclimatisation walk by alpine pastures enjoying wonderful views of the Trinity Church, 2200m, and Mt. Kazbek behind. Walk up to the Gergeti Pass, 3000m. There is an opportunity to leave a part of climbing equipment there. Descent to Gergeti. There is an opportunity to leave your unnecessary luggage in Gergeti. |

Hike up via Gergeti Glacier to the mountain hut Betlemi (former meteorological station at 3675 m, 7hrs walking from Gergeti). One will not expect much comfort in this high mountain hut, but we try our best. |

Acclimatization tour to Kazbek plateau 4200m or Mount Ortsevri 4365m to its pass 4060m or any shoulder. Descent to Betlemi hut, 4-5 hs. |

Climb Mt. Kazbek 5033m, start at 2o'clock, about 8 hs. to the top. Descent to Betlemi hut, 2 hs. Total distance 12 km, drop +1350m. |
